Buoyed by the strong success of the first two offerings, the third Taste for Aliso Niguel, an evening of food and wine tasting with proceeds going to support activities and facilities at Aliso Niguel High School, will take place on Saturday, October 3 at Allen Cadillac in Laguna Niguel. The event will run from 6pm to 10:00pm.

With over 24 restaurants providing a wide range of local culinary offerings, the second Taste for Aliso Niguel took place on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Allen Cadillac in Laguna Niguel, and raised well over $50,000 to benefit extracurricular activities at Aliso Niguel High School.

Renaissance Club Sport was the presenting sponsor of the event, which combined with its first event in May has now raised over $120,000 to help activities at Aliso Niguel High School.

The Taste is hosted by Parents For Aliso Niguel, a non-profit organized to help Aliso Niguel High School activities and booster clubs raise monies for school activities and facilities. Over 30 activities have already signed up to participate in the upcoming taste.

The majority of monies raised at each Taste go directly to the participating activities and booster clubs from their share of ticket sales or by participating in the evening's silent auction or selling gear or conducting games at their table.

Over 20 local restaurants participated in this event, which have received nice write-ups and photo slideshow in the Orange County Register.

The third Taste for Aliso Niguel will be held October 3, 2009 and event organizers are already getting more parent support groups involved than at the two previous events.
